The Harvest Fund Cohorts
Upon selection, each women's farming cooperative enters The Harvest Fund program as a cohort
Cohort 1: Chikoka Women's Group
Cohort 1 entered into The Harvest Fund program in October 2019 as the pilot cohort. Upon completion of the first year of our intensive bootcamp program, they will receive monthly visits from their Ministry camp extension officer for further financial, crop management, and gender-sensitive training. We chose them to participate as our first cohort because of their creativity, intelligence, teamwork, and resilience despite living marginally on $1 a day. They live in the village of Mungu outside of Kafue town in Zambia.

Adaptability
They welcome and easily adapt to the new teaching methods brought to them by The Harvest Fund.
Generosity
Despite their backbreaking work or subsistence on $1 a day, there is no load to heavy to carry for them.
